Grounded in post-production, Charlie began as a commercial assistant editor. Adept at helping the editors find just the right sound effect and creating sound and music beds for their offline edits, he quickly realized the audio field was where where he belonged. While building the sound department at JOINT Editorial, Wieden + Kennedy’s in-house editorial studio, he developed expertise in voice-over recording, dialog editing, sound design, music editing and mixing. He then left to work for Apple, continuing to refine his skills through work on product launch films for Apple Events and ad campaigns, notably, Your Verse and Change for iPad Air.
With over ten years of experience in sound design and mixing, Charlie has contributed to highly successful campaigns for Nike, Apple, Facebook, Amazon, Google and many others. He approaches each project with an acute creative sensibility helping to elevate and effectively tell stories through the use of sound.
